MOTHERFIGURE
It's time to mother the mother.
Motherfigure began as a passion project when founder Chelsea Allison was having difficulty finding information about the quality of providers available during her first pregnancy. Fed up over the difficulty in finding quality care, she sought to create a massive database covering hospitals, clinics, midwives, doulas and other pregnancy support. From there, she built an online blog where mothers could connect over birth stories, postpartum concerns, maternal mental health, and more. Motherfigure also branched out into a wide product offering of nursing and pregnancy-friendly clothing.
Over the past several years, I partnered with Chelsea to bring her vision to life through branding, web design, custom apparel and accessories, social media and more.
In seeking to create meaningful experiences for birthing people, iteration was the name of the game. Over the years, we tweaked and refined the website, social, and content, making it more accessible and inclusive.
The result is a safe space for women to share their experiences, connect with others, and feel like they are receiving a recommendation from a friend. Everything was designed to reach women and families where they are to provide them with resources to make them feel more heard, empowered, and less alone.
